The 2024 Major League Baseball season has had a big problem with umpires making bad calls. Leading that charge yet again has been Angel Hernandez, who continues to be one of the worst umpires in the game.
He unfortunately lived up to that reputation while working home plate in Sunday's New York Mets-Los Angeles Dodgers game when he called a clear strike a ball.

The call was fine. The pitcher just threw it too soon and in the wrong place. :)
I love that when Leslie Nielson died, ESPN reported the death as Enrico Pallazzo
https://www.espn.com/general/page2/story?id=5863233&src=desktop
“Pallazzo was the first — and only — umpire to eject another umpire from a major league game. He also is believed to be the first — and only — umpire to use an upright vacuum cleaner to tidy up home plate.”
LOL
Now you need the ball outside and strike 3 followed by the dance
The umpire is probably paid off by Las Vegas or some other Mob outfit to rig the games.
Install a crook using Didn’t Earn It.
It would be a pretty good scam.
Well, they could eliminate home plate umps.
Turn on AI to analyze camera views and call in 0.5 seconds. Problem solved.
The Geraldo Rivera of baseball. He should be cutting lawns.
The worst bad call I can remember was in 2010 when the first base umpire called a runner safe when he was clearly out—in the ninth inning of what had been a perfect game. I think there may have been two outs at the time. I think the umpire later admitted he got it wrong.
As a Tigers fan, it still burns me.
Someone’s gonna pop him sooner or later.
This guy has incriminating pictures of Commshiner Manifried.
In 2003 and in 2006, Sports Illustrated surveys of active major league players voted Bucknor as the worst umpire in MLB. In a 2010 ESPN survey of 100 active players, Bucknor was again named the worst umpire in MLB.
seems that all pro sports are fixed in some way...I fully believe pro football is....see Doug Baldwin giving thumbs up to the defender at the goal line so Baldwin could score a td under him....
Nothing I can do except complain.
Wouldn’t surprise me
They should take a bunch of high school rufs/umps and use the in some professional games. Half the players wouldn’t know what to do! Especially in the NBA!
