On his Real Time show on HBO, Bill Maher bluntly agreed that abortion is murder, and he favors it, since there are eight million people on Earth already. As they brought up Arizona and how that’s going to be a disaster for Republicans, Maher described pro-life Americans this way: “They think it’s murder, and it kind of is. I’m just okay with that. I am. There [are] 8 billion people in the world, I’m sorry, we won’t miss you. That’s my position on that.”
British journalists Gillian Tett and Piers Morgan told Maher his view was "harsh." They agree on the principle, but wish he'd be less honest.
Journalists and comedians scream "False" when people tell the truth about Democrats favoring abortion until birth. Our abortion debate constantly obsesses over what we might call the pro-life extreme, that abortion is murder, whatever the reason, at whichever month it occurs. So the establishment can NOT focus the debate on the pro-abortion extreme – when is it too late for an abortion? Jake Tapper and Kristen Welker and even Saturday Night Live fake-news anchor Colin Jost insisted it was "false" that Democrats support abortion up until birth, and that an abortion late in pregnancy never, ever happens.
This avoids the obvious point: what limits do Democrats support? None. Cue the Democrat platform of 2020:
Democrats are committed to protecting and advancing reproductive health, rights, and justice. We believe unequivocally, like the majority of Americans, that every woman should be able to access high-quality reproductive health care services, including safe and legal abortion. We will repeal the Title X domestic gag rule and restore federal funding for Planned Parenthood, which provides vital preventive and reproductive health care for millions of people, especially low-income people, and people of color, and LGBTQ+ people, including in underserved areas.
Democrats oppose and will fight to overturn federal and state laws that create barriers to reproductive health and rights. We will repeal the Hyde Amendment, and protect and codify the right to reproductive freedom. [We condemn acts of violence, harassment, and intimidation of reproductive health providers, patients, and staff.] We will address the discrimination and barriers that inhibit meaningful access to reproductive health care services, including those based on gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, race, income, disability, geography, and other factors. Democrats oppose restrictions on medication abortion care that are inconsistent with the most recent medical and scientific evidence and that do not protect public health.

Bill told the truth for a lib, that is he said it was murder.
And majority of Americans are in his camp.

I wonder what part of “Thou Shalt Not Kill” didn’t register with those people.
I bet it's a majority of Americans, mostly women, who want the option. The country should have tackled this in reverse. Put forth the elimination of late term abortions. I would bet a large majority of Americans, including a majority of women, are against late terms abortions. We are now at the point where we are never going to eliminate first term abortions and we're teetering on the edge with second term abortions.
I’ll bet Maher is glad his mother didn’t share his opinion 60 years ago.

The bible does not say that. It ways “thou shall not murder”. Translations in middle ages missed the point that “kill” way back meant murder.
Since then all sorts of cowardly dingbats have shied from doing what is necessary and saying Gawd told them so.
