The rock and roll hall of fame has become a joke. It’s funny that the hip hop and r&b crowd would be inducted. It’s actually quite telling. If I was them I would decline, but as we all know they have no shame, only self-promotion.

But at least no one was a shooting participant, so far.

It's simply a corporation that calls itself a hall of fame. Many of its decisions are political. I've never considered rap to be music, let alone rock. The country hall of fame still hasn't inducted Linda Ronstadt which is also bizarre.

The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame doesn't discriminate against bands and "artists" who suck. Apparently, they just have to be known for being somewhat famous. If a band like Grand Funk, which should've been inducted right along with the MC5, The Stooges and The Supremes hasn't made it in yet, then the process must be somewhat rigged. They should declare an indefinite delay in new inductions for a lack of quality candidates and call it a day.

Reminds me of “Memphis Bluesfest” held in May.

Went every year. Saw some great older Blues artist like John Lee Hooker and James Brown.

Then they started adding other non blues musicians. Then more and more. They changed it to “Memphis in May”.

Haven’t been in over 15 years. The Blues is dead in Memphis. New Orleans, St. Louis and Chucago too.

Young blacks don’t care. It’s all rap for them.
