The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame doesn't discriminate against bands and "artists" who suck. Apparently, they just have to be known for being somewhat famous. If a band like Grand Funk, which should've been inducted right along with the MC5, The Stooges and The Supremes hasn't made it in yet, then the process must be somewhat rigged. They should declare an indefinite delay in new inductions for a lack of quality candidates and call it a day.

...then the process must be somewhat rigged. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is a corporation whose board gives awards to bands who pay them money. They also demand rights to the music that's performed at the induction ceremony.
The bands that aren't in are mostly either at odds with the owners of the rights to their music, or won't sign a bad deal with the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
