Horrifying and sad. Mental illness and vexation are not things to laugh at.
I am curious though — and I’m not joking — there have been a handful of self-immolations as of late. I remember another gentleman, last year I believe, setting himself on fire (and surviving?)
I’m probably not going to word this question correctly, but I wonder what this might say about our where our society is at spiritually and mentally when self-immolation becomes a form of suicide/protest.
Again, I might not be wording my question correctly.
It’s a style issue.
During the Vietnam unpleasantness, self immolation was in style for Buddhist monks, and bell bottom jeans were popular here.
Now self immolation is becoming popular for incels here, expect bell bottoms to become in style in Vietnam...

IMO this young man was under that very type of attack.
