I’m seventy. I can’t remember anything this cruel when I was growing up. I'm 64 and as I was reading this article I tried to imagine anything even remotely like this happening at school when I was growing up.
I can't.
Nothing like this did.

I'm 64 and as I was reading this article I tried to imagine anything even remotely like this happening at school when I was growing up. I know what you mean. I'm thinking it has to do with the fact that kids in school in the '50s and '60s and even the '70s had fathers in the home.
The perps' fathers would have hided them with a belt if they'd done that. And if they hadn't, the victims' fathers would have hided them instead.
