RIP......God just got his return investment on his gift of musical talent.
‘Ramblin’ Man.’ great riff
Back in the day? This is # 3 on my play list. Is sitting on my turntable.
Apparently Duane was holding a just-scored bag of dope in his hands in that picture.
Aye! Rock on, Dickey Betts.
Guess we can look for the tribute tour soon.

They were very grouchy the photographer was being a jerk, he gave them crappy beer and was ordering them around. There are other such photos on the web. Duane spotted a dealer. Ran over and scored, that cracked them up. That’s the story they tell
Look at the reverse side with the roadies Grouchy. Crappy beers.
Great band. Saw them, twice. Loved playing my drums along to “Memory of Elizabeth Reed’’.

They said they got stoned and jammed for hours. Then they worked on the parts they liked best and strung them together into the long instrumental arrangements that ended up on their albums.
Great band. Condolences to family and friends of Dickie Betts.
“OK, Boomer.”
Guilty as charged
I did hear some Long Island kids on line behind me at the 7/11. From the local college. Whistling “Midnight Rider” together.
Rest In Peace Dickey....What a band The Good Lord is putting together.....it’ll be fun to see one day!
God Bless the Betts family in their time of grief
BTTT!!!
One of the great bands. The song Melissa is a masterpiece.
My best and favorite band ever. Saw them many times. Never got to see the original lineup, but I believe I saw every lineup after that.
I seen the ABB back in the day but my best show was catching Dickey and Great Southern at a little outdoor beach bar in Florida when I moved here 17 years ago. Standing 5 feet from him playing Jessica was an amazing night I’ll never forget.
RIP Dickey.
