Yup...about 20 years ago I made my first trip to Singapore. I was stunned when the stewardesses handed out the landing cards just before we arrived and saw the words...in big bold letter..."Death Penalty For Drug Traffickers Under Singapore Law." I just about soiled myself despite knowing I had nothing on me!

While waiting in line to get to the Immigration/Customs desks there was a sign saying the same thing...in several languages. Next to it was a big trash barrel labeled "Amnesty Bin". I almost tossed my blood pressure meds in it...just in case.

When going to such places, make double damn sure you LOCK YOUR LUGGAGE, else someone could surreptitiously plant some drugs unbeknownst to you in your gear and retrieve them later. It has been done before.............
