Teachers at a school have reacted with horror to a video of their middle-aged female colleague being repeatedly punched in the face and abused by a male student.
The teenager has been arrested after a classmate filmed the profanity-laden physical attack at Parkland High School in North Salem, North Carolina.
The teacher sits motionless in the classroom as the student lands a right-handed punch to her cheek before he steps back and demands: 'Want me to hit you again?'
'I don't want it,' she replies before he repeats his demand and punches her again, this time with his left.
District Attorney Jim O'Neill said he had no authority to prosecute the thug as an adult for his assault on the teacher who has astonished investigators with her resilience.
'I still see it playing in my head,' Forsyth County Sheriff Bobby Kimbrough said. 'I'm amazed that she even showed up for work today.'
A secure custody order was issued against the boy on Tuesday for one count of communicating threats and two counts of misdemeanor assault.
DA Jim O'Neill said he could not be charged as an adult because the charges only amount to a misdemeanor so they cannot be brought to superior court.
But he warned students that they face the same consequences for attacking teachers as they would for assaulting police officers.
'We're here to see that you're never assaulted when you go to work,' he told a press conference.

There is something clearly left out of that article, which might help explain how egregious the slapping was. If the teacher is allowed in the classroom, there should be no excuse made for the slaps - but some detail as to what was going on seems to be withheld.
The assailant doesn’t seem to fit the normal set of actions. I mean this in the sense that he was slapping, not punching; that he wasn’t wildly assaulting (though clearly they edited out the profanity) as is so common; and, most oddly, at the end told the teacher to go back to teaching.
“I didn't fear the students. I didn't ever feel threatened by them in any way, and I really enjoyed my time teaching there,” said Kisha Wall-Freeman who taught there between 2012 and 2019. But she said worsening behavior had been exacerbated by more lenient discipline “They hear the cussing and the bad language from their parents as well,” she told WFMY.
This child is free from the shackles of “acting white.”
That was me, my freshman year in college in the 60s! At least then, there were still other faculty members who would defend me. The only difference in our stories is that the class dieseldyke would turn around and threaten to beat me up after class.
I had the same impression; and he/she just sat there slumped back passively. He/she could at least have stood up and slammed a yardstick on a desk and shouted, "Sit down!" to the smartass kid. If it was a man, perhaps he feared his own strength or rage if he had gotten into it with the kid.
In the State of Washington, it’s a felony to threaten or assault a public employee.
Branded from the start. No wonder he identifies as a thug.

The article does not state what the DA and Sheriff and school officials said when they were asked why the attack was not upgraded to felony charges.
And the Youtube videos I've seen from the alphabet newscasts do not even show the attack as seen here on FR - best parents and voters not see what taxpayers are funding at their kids’ school.
To review: an adult woman was talked to like a dog by a thug in a public classroom - in fact she was called a young dog by the thug - and then slapped across the face hard.
I am not sure if this was before or after he used racial epithets that everyone agrees should never be uttered except in classic urban music.
After attacking her the first time, the thug then decided to completely dominate both the teacher and the classroom by taunting her with questions about whether or not she wanted to be slapped again.
After she politely replied she did not want to be slapped again the thug decided that she, indeed, needed another round of public punishment so he struck her again in the face.
This thug learned to physically abuse, dominate, and humiliate women somewhere.
And the culture in that community withholds his name from publication and protects him from being held accountable.
Oh, he may be taken out of class for a few days.
Expect more of this. And worse.
“It appears to possibly be a trans teacher.”
No evidence of this.
True but I’m telling you that’s probably a dude.
