Yes it was, but it is important to remember that L.A.P.D was pretty well known to be less than on the up and up when it came to things like planting evidence. A few years after the O.J. trial L.A. had to pay millions to criminals the L.A.P.D had faked evidence to gain convictions.

Was it unreasonable to doubt Fuhrman’s finding of the gloves? Maybe not so much. Not saying O.J. was innocent but the case was pretty much circumstantial.
