For sure, that all goes into the mix. What compounds it is long decades in the Senate as its resident drone. Tremendous power with responsibility divided among 100 different electors.
Imagine being anonymous to 95% of the public with power like that. You’re never responsible for anything because there are 99 other people to poing to. Yet people break their backs for you to keep a cushy job or fette you to gain access to your ear.
Why would anyone want to be President if they were ever a Senator? ...Unless it’s the cherry atop a “rewarding” career of “service?”
