Yeah. In this case, one witness, the asian friend of the kid who died, he actually testified that his memory of the incident is better now, than 2 years ago.
The defense attorneys are having a field day with these witnesses. The comments are hilarious on youtube.

I don’t necessarily disagree with your comments however, it was revealed last Friday the Miu left after the incident......the decision to leave could prove problematic jury wise for a person proclaiming innocence.
As I understand it, Miu struck a female before being slapped and pushed into the water, is that accurate?
At any rate, its probably going to boil down to whatever the wisconsin self defense laws are.
Yes Mr. Miu not only left, but he lied. That doesn’t change the facts of what happened though. The video seems clear. And as far as the “punch” or “slap” is concerned, it’s not seen on the tape, what is seen is they put hands on him first. Additionally, the witnesses are all over the place....a slap, a punch, left cheek, right cheek.....
The defense attorneys are just superb in destroying literally every witness. What interesting is the thousands of comments. The young people seem to be leaning toward conviction. The more mature don’t seem to be fooled.
I’d acquit in about a minute.
I went to the news website and watched the whole video. They knocked the man down, and they were slapping him in the face. He looked a little freaked out, being surrounded.
I don’t understand why it was even prosecuted.
The DA just should told attackers.
They were wrong and brought it on themselves.

I actually felt sorry for the guy. Looking for his iphone one minute, being called a Pedophile, mocked, laughed at, assaulted, pushed in the water, alone, surrounded the next. Talk about self defense. You can’t get more self defense.
If I were the city or county, I’d fire the prosecutors too. What a monumental waste of time and money. No way this jury convicts. The defense attorneys are killing it.
What’s weird is they charged him with murder 1. A manslaughter charge might have been reasonable, but no way it is anything like murder 1.

When I was younger I’d been conditioned to stand my ground over just about anything lest I become a target -as middle age arrived I made it my philosophy that if it’s not worth killing it’s not worth fighting at all and avoid any conflict possible, however if it can’t be avoided nothing is off the table
Spot on. I don’t even honk my horn at anyone anymore. Too many crazies who will kill you in a second, then go eat lunch. But like this man, surrounded, assaulted, .....he did what any reasonable person would do.

That suggests the DA was under political pressure to prosecute, but wants a unanimous verdict of not guilty. If so, it’s a pathetic parody of justice.
The one black kid filming it kept riling everyone else into hysteria, turning a minor situation into some World Star production. Wish he could be charged with inctiment.
In the video I saw he punched one of the women telling him to leave the area. He pulled his knife while the women were talking to him. He even stabbed a woman in her back. I don’t know all the details but from the video I saw the kids were teasing him. I didn’t see them threaten him physically until someone pushed him after he punched the lady in the face. The entire incident was stupid.
Yep, he was inciting provoking and should be charged. They are all lying and changing their stories. It’s bizarre this case ever made it to trial...
Except there is no video of him punching anyone. They can’t even get their stories straight on that. Have you been watching?
