Famous “Law and Order” and “Charlotte” actress, Angie Harmon, said an Instacart delivery man shot and killed her dog.
Harmon wrote a lengthy post to her Instagram account Monday detailing the horror that allegedly happened at her front door. “This Easter weekend a man delivering groceries for Instacart shot & killed our precious Oliver,” she wrote. “He got out of his car, delivered the food & THEN shot our dog.” The actress posted a video and photographs of her small dog as she paid tribute to her beloved family pet.
Harmon went on to share more details with her 584,000 Instagram followers.
“Our ring camera was charging in the house, which he saw & then knew he wasn’t being recorded,” she said.
The actress explained that police were involved in the matter, but much to her dismay, they weren’t able to give her the closure she needed.
“The police let him go b/c he claimed ‘self defense’. He did not have a scratch or bite on him nor were his pants torn,” Harmon wrote.
The star said she was not expecting this particular person to be at her doorstep in the first place.
“He was shopping under a woman’s identity named Merle… the pic is on my story,” she said.
She followed up with some more disturbing information.
“He shot our dog with my daughters & myself at home & just kept saying, ‘yeah, I shot your dog. Yeah I did.’ We are completely traumatized & beyond devastated at the loss of our beloved boy & family member. #RIP OLLIE 🐶🐾🕊️🌈” she wrote.
Harmon turned off the comments on her social media account.
There was no further information provided.
How things stand:
1. The dog is dead.
2. The delivery man is uninjured, alive and walking free.
3. You and this entitled egocentric witch stand howling at the moon.
I love it when justice prevails.
when u let your dog roam, you are kinda opening up the door for bad stuff to happen, IMHO.
Cars, mean people, other animals, your pup could get hurt. ( I have 2 right now and they are behind a fence and we’re semi rural.)

I wish everyone believed that. People who let their pets run free, and then whine when something happens to them ... I don’t get it. Keep them contained so that THEY are safe.
Upon reviewing the evidence, the dog is clearly innocent, Angie Harmon looks great AND CLEARLY, the delivery man acted
with malice aforethought after being forced by his wife to view reruns of Rissoli and Isles for 10 years!
Are you kidding me? Ok, hate being a name dropper but my family knows Angie Harmon very well. My DIL has been in contact with her most of the day, she and her three daughters are devastated. SHE IS NOT an “egocentric witch howling at the moon” I have never heard anything so absurd in my life. The dog did NOTHING TO this freak, he just went in for target practice. This guys picture on his instacart is that of a woman, he was a dude carrying a weapon. My family is familiar with this dog who was killed, he was a sweet, loving dog. So everyone, get real. Some freak shows up and shoots an animal in a private yard.
Who said it was charging? It would be interesting to find out whether the dog was shot in the front, the side, or the back.
I would kick it in the throat. Of course if I had a gun, I might fire it just to scare the dog away. Again, this is not a big dog. Looks like some sort of beagle mix to me.
I don't know anyone who lives in the country and keeps their dogs penned up. In my lifetime I have known a lot of people who live in the country.
Or better yet, keep the human animals away from you and those you love.
The story said it was a small dog.
He was a small dog and no threat.
I think it would be justice if someone punched you in your obnoxious "holier than thou" mouth.
I dare say this guy is going to seriously regret what he has done.
I bet he's fired, is unhireable now, and will likely have the animal rights kooks all over his @$$. He may also be facing a lawsuit, but I doubt he has a pot to piss in.
This nutbag is a loose cannon, and I wager he will not fare well for the rest of his life.
The dog was about thirty pounds, he was NOT aggressive.

It’s just that people are presuming it wasn’t for any more reason than they don’t want to give him the benefit of the doubt.
You apparently completely missed the point of that.
No, giving the driver the benefit of the doubt is to condemn Angie Harmon. And that ain't going to happen.
The only thing that matters is that the driver was carrying a firearm, in violation of company policy........
Try supporting that.
A) Significant physical damage must be proveable before self-defense.

B) The threat must be significant.

B is the standard, thankfully, because, for example, the victim might be your daughter whom you are defending.
