The moon's movement causes tides - there's a lot of energy involved in moving trillions of trillions of tons (1.6 x 1018 tons) of ocean water up and down a few feet every few hours. Although the earth is in constant free-fall toward the sun, the force of the moon coming into alignment with that practically unvarying pull of the sun certainly causes a small variation of the overall equilibrium. Enough to cause earthquakes? Empirically, it seems they happen near the eclipse dates. Mathematically, the models might not agree, I don't know, but they're just models.

Now, I'd bet that those that watch the stars and planetary bodies for predictions of the future include wiccans and other worshipers of false idols ... including the elite now in control of America. They'll go to extremes to try to know what the future holds for them and are probably "religiously" keeping track of what they consider ominous things, like the stars. It wouldn't surprise me that, like the Arab terrorists who plan invasions and such on auspicious dates, the base and corrupt elite would arrange to do things, like introduce the jab - the weapon that the thought would give them ultimate power over billions of people on the earth, on a date that aligns with what they consider a propitious occasion.

So I'd say those human-event dates that tweaked your curiosity were arranged by humans to coincide with the celestial events, not that the celestial event somehow induced the human actions.
