I’d hope the Iran drones aren’t just a head fake to get the IAF off the ground and give them something cheap to shoot at. Then wait until the IAF goes home to refuel, then hit them with bigger stuff.
That’s how the IAF wiped out the Egypts during the Yom Kippur: They waited until after the EAF patrolled then went back to refuel and take morning tea. Then wiped them out on the ground.

I’ve noted a number of C-class planes (C17, C5) going over seas on both coasts but they stop transponding at the 12-mile mark.
For the last week, it doesn’t seem that abnormal...other than the transponder silence.

I think the IAF has been planning/training on the best way to eliminate incoming drones.
It could be surprising.
