Harari is certainly a living example of a flawed person, so he’s somewhat of an authority on being flawed.
It wouldn’t have delayed our entry “declaration” wise, but delayed the deployment and out-massing of our material and equipment.
And I’ve no doubt that we “goaded” them into playing their hand early. We cut off oil and scrap steel to them, and they had to replace that post haste AND get things producing materials up o begin to suffer a increasing material deficit.
At that time the US could, on literally a moments notice, out produce the ENTIRE PLANET in “stuff”. The one momentary advatage Japan had was more robust naval air arm, numerically and experience wise. The huge disadvantage they had was a command structure that was very rigid and inflexible to “thinking outside the box” and taking personal initiative.
Roosevelt/admin wanted to get into the European theater to keep Germany from rolling the continent. That idea was pretty unpopular with American citizenry, to the tune of like 70% up until 40/41. They knew that Hitler would uphold his end of the Triple Alliance commitment and declare war on anyone the other alliance members got into conflict with and lo and behold he declared 3 days after.

The historical record was there for them to see. The primary cause the US got into wars was naval.
1. Barbary Pirates - They were taking our merchants and enslaving our citizens. The US Navy was founded on Anti-Piracy.
2. War of 1812 - British stopping US ships and pressing US sailors.
3. Spanish American War - USS Maine blowing up in Havana harbor.
4. World War One - German unrestricted submarine warfare killing Americans in our and other's ships.
The Japanese learned the first rule of Naval Warfare the hard way. As they would later warn the world, "Don't touch the American's boats."

Almost didn’t read the article, but it gets very interesting:

I’ll add this: It’s also an odd coincidence that the 7-year “tribulation” period in Daniel is split in half and described in... wait for it... Daniel 12:11... (but the time period is 1290 days rather than 1211):

But our seven-year period of trouble is bookended by two total lunar eclipses and split down the middle by Biden becoming president (a mini-abomination of desolation).
One other point of interest. Many believe that the heavenly sign found in Revelation 13 happened on September 23, 2017, just a month after the first of these two eclipses. (I have noted that the dragon in the biblical vision is notably absent.) Many also consider 2017 to be a “year of jubilee” in connection with the prophetic calendar.
Just for the record, I think this comparison is based on similarities that are coincidental but very interesting nonetheless. Maybe there is more to this than meets the eye.
