I discovered the error was with my browser - Brave.

I still use Win7 on my desktop PC and Brave has for a long time now not been updating on Win7 machines. As long as it all worked I didn’t care; and that’s been for a few years now.

But suddenly something changed - likely a missing new security update - a Brave crashed anytime trying to go to Youtube.

Went back to Firefox, which I still have on the PC and had no problem. However, Firefox will be terminating update support for Win7 machines this coming September. Sometime after that I may encounter problems again.
