Toyota ad.
“NOT counting our EVs!”
Ad from 2003.
The two I’ve owned are still the most dependable low maintenance vehicles I’ve ever had.
I love my Jeep but if I knew then what I know now I’d have opted for another Tacoma......the difference in overall quality is stark.
1970’s rustbelt Toyotas
I’ve been driving Toyota’s for 25 years now. Most dependable cars around. I get 250K miles easily out of each vehicle and I rarely have to do more that oil changes, brakes and tires.
We’ve had Toyota’s for eons. A Tundra and an Avalon and love them.
About 15 years My youngest son had a Toyo Camry with 293 thousand on it given to him by a customer he had just sold a new Ford truck to.
He ran it for another 50K before it was stolen...
Never saw it again...
Your probably not gonna believe this, but I sold an ‘09 Tacoma in 2019 with almost 100k miles on it and it STILL didn’t need front brake pads.
Kept the oil changed and had a trans service at 75k.
It never missed a lick.....ever.
Nor a Lexus!

You can throw pintos, Vegas, gremlins and pacers in there as well.
I knew a guy back in the early 80s that had an orange Corolla with the vanity plate ZENFLOW.
One day during a rainstorm an oak tree fell on it.
Karma’s a bitch!
I’ve owned several and all were reliable. As far as refinement and styling, I’d put Toyota a little below Honda and a little above Nissan.
First Toyota my Dad owned, 1971, the carburetor fell off the side of the motor. Fixed it and sold it not caring to find out what would be next. Bought a Camry 30 years later and loved it!
I have a 2002 Toyota Sequoia with 260,000 on it. Runs great!
I guess the UAW version of that ad is something like:
“Have you ever seen an UAW-built car NOT broken down?”
I want this Toyota truck.
“
The Toyota IMV 0 intends to fill in that low-cost space beneath the Hilux with a target starting price of $10,000. It made its debut at the 2023 Japan Mobility Show, wearing cool Land Cruiser 70 Series style. “
“You asked for it, you got it, Bend over!”
My daughter bought a used Corolla many years ago and we were so impressed with it that we have since bought only Toyotas and have not regretted it.
Matter of fact, we and all our kids now own only Toyotas.
