By passing an unrelated substitute bill in its place on Tuesday, Georgia’s Republican-led House derailed a proposed bill that would have given the State Election Board (SEB) authority to investigate the secretary of state.
The Georgia Senate passed SB358 in January shortly after it passed out of the Senate Ethics Committee. The bill, as approved by the Senate, would remove the secretary of state from his role as an “ex officio nonvoting member” of the SEB and permit the board to, amongst other things, “investigate the Secretary of State” and “require the Secretary of State to cooperate with certain investigations.”
The bill clarified that the SEB has authority to investigate “the administration of primary and election laws by the Secretary of State and local election officials and frauds and irregularities in primaries and elections.”

Anyone paying casual attention would suspect Raffensberger is dirty. Gotta wonder how many other "Republicans" are as well.
How is the State Election Board appointed?
Georgia sounds like a nasty place.
RINOs = Democrats
Moderates = Democrat enablers
Elections have consequences
Probably a good numer of those in the Georgia house
There’s not a truly red state in the nation.
Not one.
We are not voting-with-our-feet our way out of this.
There are several truly red states, but they are represented by RINOs in government. The only way to vote us out of the current predicament is to vote out RINOs in the primaries.
The whole Georgia state legislature is a RINO club.
There is a war in GA to get Trump.. The administration plus, which is republican, got their dander up and wanted to take first prize on taking out Trump.
They have failed.
I’ve spent most of my 60+ years in Georgia (born and raised here). It’s a wonderful state. Atlanta is a nasty city. Georgia isn’t Atlanta, any more than Michigan is Detroit.
And the Secretary of State is an elected official. Like him or not, he should not operate under the control of a politically-appointed board.
Looks like Georgia is solid Blue—sure bet for Biden-Obama.
A club of former Democrats, including all of our “Republican” governors of the last several decades.
But, hey, keep making excuses.
Yep.
