Of course, OTOH, what were “Mayor” Pete’s qualifications to be SECDOT. Or, for that matter, same question for Sec. of Energy Granholm?
I looked at her LinkedIn page and her own site KB. All they say is degrees from Pitt and Penn State.
This is another fine mess you got us into Joey. Hope that port commish got her shite in one sock. But you know, between Buttjiggle and the resident HR exspurt somethin’ is gonna happen bigtime.
This will be interesting.
That’s a “padded” resume if I ever saw one. All of those “accomplishments” are total fluff. I’ve seen resumes of retail store managers that had better credentials.
[Similar to the presidency and the congress?]
Wasn’t the permanent bureaucracy turfed Nixon, tried to turf Reagan (Iran-Contra) and is now working on putting Trump in prison. Bureaucrats of all persuasions exist in government. Many are bored stiff, think they could do better if only given the chance. They will work with fellow partisans if they feel the risk-reward ratio is favorable.
In the private sector, plenty of wealthy patrons willing to subsidize fellow travelers on both sides of the aisle. That’s what think tanks are for. In government, there’s the featherbedding from do-nothing political appointments.
Being a token pays!!
That is a great article.

Not one thing that would qualify her for Port Authority job.

Maybe an alternate defn of ‘port’.
It is. I’ve posted it here numerous times hoping eventually most will read it.
Many people don’t understand complexity theory and cascading failures.
If you’re bored, here’s a Michael Crichton talk on environment and systems management. I post this every once in a while too.

Thanks very much. Crichton was a brilliant man.

I assume that she, fellow Commissionwrs, and Governor will take personal responsibility for their omissions?
The ship had left port. The NTSB will determine if the pilot is at fault or not. I doubt any policy changes she implemented were having an effect yet.
You’re welcome.
That’s a good one. It’s in one of the chapters of State of Fear.
Only guy with the number one movie, tv show, and book at the same time.
Harvard medical graduate when it meant something.
Tom Perez at the bridge presser offering condolences and says Biden is no stranger to losing family members. Where is Joe? Why all the stand ins for him this week? President Biden told me to say. President Biden believes..
Where is Joe Biden?
Huh ... I see nothing in there that would indicate competence to manage the operations of a major commercial seaport.
She got that position because of her black skin and her XX chromosomes.
And people DIED.
Nice picture there of an unintelligent, incompetent, high-maintenance bitch.
Any port in a storm....
