Rachel Berg, 18, was speeding in her brand-new Chevy Corvette on a Mesa highway about 10:30 p.m. March 12 when she rear-ended a Harley-Davidson being ridden by Michael Clark, 46, a Tempe park ranger...
Berg pulled over and tried to perform CPR on the fallen biker but he died at the scene — then told police she couldn’t stop in time before ramming the Hog, AZ Family said.
Data from her car’s airbag control module reportedly indicated that she had been traveling at 155 mph five seconds before impact and 87 mph when she struck the bike after slamming on the brakes.

Hogwash...It's not the gun, it's the person using it. It's not the car, it's the person using it. Like in this case, she chose to drive like a maniac and paid the price. Don't blame the car! That's like blaming the gun!
When my older son’s daughter turned 16, he and his wife sold their 11 year-old Camry to her for $6,000. They cover the insurance, but she earned to money and used Christmas and birthday money gifts to pay for it.
She’s also a 4.0 high school student, a very accomplished dancer, and mature Christian young lady.
My son has plenty of money, but he and his wife have high expectations.
Mugshot shows a sociopath. It’s in the eyes and jaw, the set of the mouth. Stone cold emotionless even after slaughtering a man and ruining her own life.
To even drive at that speed as a very inexperienced driver shows psychopathic fearlessness and shamelessness. Normal girls would never even dare.
Trust me on this: the possibility needs to be investigated that this was deliberate. She may have targetted him, a thrill kill. She is definitely a thrillseeker who wants danger and coming close to death. It’s one more step to an actual death. Mark my words.
The one I was thinking about was in Chemlsferd, MA.
Just south of the NH border. North of Lowell.
You just look STUPID pretending there are not differences. Sorry, but everyone KNOWS it because we’ve all seen it repeatedly in our lives.
Ah, ok. BTW...it’s Chelmsford. Or in Mass-speak...’Chemsfid’.
ya know, south of Tingsburo, not to far from Draket
home of the women with BIG HAIR
They had a dismal record but the year after he went there, he took them to a League championship. He was a helluva football coach. Helluva guy too.
He left when I was a Junior in high school. Without him as my coach, I decided not to play football my senior year. That decision changed my life. I wouldn't be where I am now if I'd played football that year.
Please - recuse yourself from sitting on MY jury!
What kind of “modern” parent gives their child a Corvette? First of all...the kid should have to work to earn money to buy a car. What did these complicit =, self-centered parents expect. Hopefully, she has time in prison to consider living more responsibly.
Every High School has one of those stories, it's all in the percentages.
And you’re still wrong. LOL
This took me 10 seconds to find in the Internet.
This is just a tiny example showing you're wrong. Young, stupid inexperienced drivers do NOT need a race car to kill themselves or others. This happens all the time.
Pay attention!
I would be an excellent juror, going solely off of the evidence. ALL the evidence including your demeanour, remorse or lack thereof, your antisocial conduct and so forth. Do you feel I have been unfair to the homicidal young criminal with the 155mph driving record?
What do you base that on? We already know she is a reckless thrill-killer. Proven beyond a reasonable doubt by her own conduct. Do you feel sowwy for the poor widdle snowflake? Are you influenced by her age or sex perhaps? Then it is YOU who should not sit on a jury. This case will be open and shut. Her parents should be charged as accessories before and after the fact.
I’ll not send you out to buy me any books based on their covers.
You are still an idiot. I did not, in any way, imply NO ONE ever died in a lower powered car. Only that the RISK was much greater in a car that could break 150..
No shit. People used to die in Volkswagen Bugs. But a Corvette and an 18 year old? Very bad mix. If you don’t know that, you are dumb.
SOME cars are much more likely to get a young driver in trouble.
You continue to blame the car. The car won't get anyone in trouble. A KIA will do well over 100mph, like the one up thread that killed 4 young people.
My point is young people certainly don't need some high end vehicle to get up to 120mph and play race car driver if that's their intent. Vet/KIA,Civic no difference. Btw, in some venues lots of young adults drive Vets and other high end vehicles and they don't kill people or drive them like this fool did.
It's like blaming the gun instead of the user. That no worky, no bueno.
I had 3 teens driving and about to do so.
I took them past a scene just like this picture and showed them how EASY it was to just drift off the road a bit and end up dead a few milliseconds later.
I also took one of them into a big parking lot a night when it was empty and taught him how to handle a big van in snow.
Everyone with a brain and a bit of life experience knows you are wrong. But one cannot fix stupid.
