This bit cracked me up, too:

These are the anchor points and they knew that hitting either one one of them would be a fatal wound to the integrity of the bridge.”
So the genius plotters deduced that the place to crash a boat to do the max. damage to the bridge was....wait for it...the part *in the water*. As opposed to, what, the span in the air? Mental.
That took some real genius platting there. Lol. But, to be fair, it is probably a pretty difficult problem for a govt bureaucrat or a jihadi.
