This was not deserving of a hospital visit.

This is one reason why we overspend so much on health care.

Was he hitting on a waitress?

Good grief, the kid got an accidental buzz. Unless he downed a quart of vodka he’ll be fine.

I think the hospital visit was to ensure maximum compensation.

“Since his family doesn’t drink, they said they weren’t able to tell if the drink had alcohol in it, so they flagged down their server, and a bartender confirmed the mistake.”

I have a hard time believing that parents cannot detect alcohol.

You need the visit to prepare for the ghetto lottery win.🥳

High 6 figures should be about right./sarc

I drank my grandmothers moonshine when I was this kids age. It never affected me, affected me...

The problem probably isn’t the boy.

The problem is probably his mother.

Her name is probably Karen, and she’s probably blonde with a wedge haircut ...

Why did they give him tylenol?!? You aren’t supposed to mix tylenol with alcohol because it increases liver damage.

Tylenol?

Em… what?

The MD was unaware of liver toxicity of Tylenol mixed with alcohol or this is a huge lie

I was drinking wine with family meals way before age 12. Either this kid is a complete idiot, or the family is running a scam.

He was given Tylenol and told to rest

What the heck.

You would never give someone who has been drinking Tylenol.

The hospital did potentially more damage to him with their "treatment" then Outback did with an entire shot of hard liquor.

A well planned scam...I'm guessing the server is in on this and will get a nice cut.

One drink will not get you hospitalized...

The parents are definitely lying about not being able to detect alcohol. That's just ridiculous...

I’d guess the whole family. I agree on Karen, with her two nutless sidekicks.

He had a shot of watered down rum, if he drank the whole thing. Parents are idiots looking for the suit.

I guess they should allow all alcohol immediately just like the edibles right?
