Ya, and it almost impossible to get a conceal carry license in NJ too. I used to live there and traveled as an Industrial salesman and had to go into some really bad areas. I the Police Captain in my town refused to issue me one, said quote “I did not have a good enough reason” to conceal carry. Really ?
2. Vote Republican.
3. Vote Republican (bears repeating)."
4. Carry a gun. Oh wait...This is NJ.. Sorry I lost my head for a minute.
“If it’s a manual transmission, he has no worries..............”
Not “no” worries but a lot fewer.
Having lived in Europe for a few years I was forced to master manual driving.
BTW when you buy shift new in the USA you get an invoice with a really big deduction (over 500).
Big enough to hire a pro driving instructor.
Needless to say, you save mucho on gas.
Since I'm retired, and there are casinos all over the states, I have no reason to travel to NJ.
When I was younger some of the companies I worked for had offices in NJ and I had to visit, I carried concealed {before airport checks}.
Today I just avoid states in which my permit is not honored, so I am always armed {my weapon is more valuable than any AMEX card, and I NEVER leave home without it}.
I remember my first manual transmission experience. I had to learn all by myself out of necessity of the moment. I was with an adult friend and he was a semi-truck driver. We were at his work and he got a job that needed delivery ASAP, so he tossed me his keys and took off and I was supposed to take his car home, about 20 miles away.
I didn’t know it was a manual until I got in. It took me about ten minutes to get the hang of it, but after that it’s been a breeze for 50 years.....................
Patel? Again? Another Patel? Rabadham Patel?
Question. If you are a witness to something like this occurring ... like an attempted car-jacking or mugging... and you are armed, would you be prosecuted and jailed for shooting one of the perps in an attempt to stop the crime and help the victim?
I suppose the answer to that question would depend upon what state you were in and what color the perps were. Sadly, that is what our so-called “justice system” has disintegrated to.
I hated those manual shifters with the little “channels” to guide the shifter. Give me a column shifter any day. That would confuse the heck out of these thieves.
My old 66 Pontiac and Ford F-100 were three-on-the-tree!..............
He didn’t put a stop to them last time, didn’t this time and they’ll be back for more. Or maybe don’t show off his Bentley to the thugs.
Police are being handicapped by soft on crime DA’s and soft on crime state laws.
That’s equivalent to the Name “Smith” in America.
I was at the grocery store, and didn't even own any Microsoft products. LOL.

I made the same sort of comment on a thread yesterday. Lo and behold, in this morning's issue of our local Gannett newsrag a front page headline read "Permits to carry firearms in NJ balloon from 600 to 20,000". The USSC decision that the New York law requiring citizens to prove they had "proper cause" to carry is unconstitutional; that renders the NJ requirement to "prove a need" invalid as well.
ANY requirement for a permit, licensing etc. is a clear infringement (since it can be denied), but this was a step in the right direction. But this is the first I heard of the NY decision applying in other states, and figured NJ would try to end-run it somehow.
Up next: Constitutional carry!
Call center workers are low paid. Indians making big bucks are doctors, business people and entreprenuers. I can’t visit any large hospital without dozens of Indian specialists. Google is run by Indians along with other tech giants. My local Walmart manager is Indian. It all comes from big emphasis on education in Indian culture. The oldest university in world was in India. Einstein said without discovery of zero by a Indian mathematician, science would not progress much using Roman numerals.
I didn’t imply Indian immigrants are criminally inclined. In fact the victims of this carjacking were Indian.
