I thought decades of paying into Medicare was so healthcare wouldn’t cost ober $7k per year after retirement.
You have to buy Medicare part B.
Which is around $300 a month. That is about half of the cost.
If you have part D I think it is another $200.
Add on Dental or Eyecare and it adds up fast.
