We tried that in Florida.
Doesn’t work.
Nuisance bears were taken up to 500 miles from where they were captured and they come back ‘home’.
Now they just euthanize them....................
I was overrun by squirrels eating all the fruit on my ten fruit trees. I finally decided “that’s enough” and decided to do something about it. I bought a Hav-a-Hart trap and caught my first squirrel. Put the cage in the car and drove him ten miles up in the hills, the distance they say they cannot find their way back.
That was about $5 to “save” one rodent. Then I learned the existing rodents in the new area don’t like the newcomers and the newcomers frequently starved or died shortly.
So my next 74 catches went for a swim in a big bucket of water. I finally got to eat my fruit.
