I highly recommend their channels along with Casual Navigation if you are interested in this sort of stuff.

Well, best laid plans and all that. I had originally intended for this to go out at about 1830 EDT. I went out to get some water so I could take my pain meds about 1810 and found SweetiePalm twitching with her blood sugar low. Since I couldn't do anything to help her, I had to call EMS.

Unfortunately we are well known to them. Double unfortunately since she was mildly convulsing and since they didn't have any injectable glucose (evidently there is a nationwide shortage), they had to take her into the ER. They got her blood sugar up all right but her blood pressure spiked and they wouldn't let her go home until they got it down.

The third set of meds they gave her, the last injectable, got it down. It started dropping so fast I asked if they could get the Doc to sign her out before it went negative. Anyway, we got home a little after 0100. So all is well here.

SweetiePalm is really good about managing her blood sugar. She's been at it for 64 years now. For someone with diabetes that long she is in remarkably good condition.
