Russia with 12 time zones is I’m much better position to survive nuclear war than Densely populated Europe. In a all out nuclear war Europe could easily vaporize 300 million people.

Half of their population live in 20 largest cities, 15% in Moscow alone. Most of 12 times zones is basically empty land.

Russia is big, but the population is urban and concentrated. But yes you're correct that large sections of unpopulated Siberia could avoid getting nuked. Not much good for the russians who don't live there.

“Russia with 12 time zones is I’m much better position to survive nuclear war”

Nonsense. 75% of the Russian population is west of the Ural mountains, which is only about 23% of Russian territory. In the other 77% of Russian territory are some large swaths where “Russians” are not the majority.

Putin initiating a nuclear war exchange could end up resulting in the disintegration of Russia as a unified “Russian” state.
