Chad C. Mulligan to Robert DeLong

I cite one of the most deeply researched books on Ukrainian history published in the last ten years, just one of three or four such books I've read in the last couple of years, and you say I know nothing.

Those are books on Russia, and you call me dense? You're an idiot.

I never said Russia was perfect, but I also say that Ukraine is no better. Ukraine has never really existed throughout history as a functioning country. Some other country held their land in some form or another.

In fact, they had their most longest run of under Russia, and they provided control of the the land east of the Dnieper River for ridding them of the the Grand Duchy of Lithuania and the Crown of the Kingdom of Poland control.

But it is also well known just how badly they have treated the Russian speaking Ukrainians after the coup d'état & the so-called revolution of dignity.

Did you read about that in your books? That's part of the reason for the Russian invasion, along with the threats made by NATO expansionism that Putin clearly stated was one of two red lines, the other being Georgia.

But the bottom line here, is that I am far more concerned as to what is happening in this nation, because that is where my children, grandchildren & yes even great grandchildren live, not Ukraine., and Ukraine is not a NATO nation. I wish them well, but if this nation falls, Ukraine will cease to exist as well.

In other words, our survival does not depend upon Ukraine's fate. If they want to keep fighting, that is their choice, but my recommendation is for them to hash out a peace agreement.

Unless of course you are hell-bent on starting World War III.

No, because it isn't true.
