They're still better than the old "C" and "K" rations but you don't get the cool P-38 can opener with the MREs. I have my dad's P-38 from WW2 on my key ring.

I have carried a p51 on my keychain for more than 40 years. It is a bit bigger than the p38 and easier to handle.
