because most on the right have either been compromised and blackmailed or else they found they love the power and secretly joined the left.

The article’s basic premise is flawed. The U.S. has effectively been a communist country for more than 100 years.

The communists took over because the public wouldn’t willingly vote for them.

It be RINOs letting it happen, e.g. McConnell.

And those who vote for RINOs.

Yes, was just thinking that this is what happens when folks vote for someone they think are more “electable”. Ie., instead of voting for who they really like, they vote for someone they think everyone else wants.

It is more than merely RINOs. The culprit is Conservatism, Inc., which since the 1950s has steered the conservative masses unto the right end of the Overton Window of acceptable opinions. Since the end of World War II, the Republicans have run moderates for the White House, with the exceptions of Goldwater, Reagan, and Trump. All three were undermined by the moderate Republicans in either their campaigns or their Administrations. Despite the sabotage, the radio talk show and print members of Conservatism, Inc., told us to hold our noses and vote for the moderate for President on down.

Unlike Goldwater or Reagan, Trump was never tied to Conservatism, Inc. He has been the most successful populist since Andrew Jackson. If Trump survives lawfare against him and election sabotage and becomes President, he will need to be as revolutionary as FDR. I was a little concerned that he had Lindsey Graham on the platform with him in South Carolina after his victory there. Graham is the epitome of a GOP establishment politician.

The elements of this werew always there, but this is was really done to us by Bush/Cheney, the WOT and the Iraq invasion. It was the deadly coaltion of:

1. globalism
2. crony capitalism
3. the radical left.

The deals was that the radical left get whatever they want in support of the other two elements. The only things that got screwed in this deal were the Amercian taxpayers and future generations who got saddled with what is not $33+++ Trillion in debt and a deepstate that is operating exra-constitutionally.

Well non communists can’t say they weren’t warned. We’ve been screaming about the threat of domestic communism for a generation. The author wonders what the last straw will be that incites civil war. Maybe if the Democrats steal the 2024 election will be the breaking point.

Unfortunately, the Left appeals to the female vote much more effectively than the Right can. Much of the Woke mind virus targets women.

<>Our habitual assumption, as we call on Americans to “wake up,” is that once awakened (awoken?), they will vote for the right candidates, support the right parties, and donate to the right “nonprofit” groups, who will do battle for the right solutions. In short, they will build a new political class and hope it is somehow better than the previous one. But it does not work that way.<>

<>The only way to loosen the politicos’ grip is to restore the sovereignty of the unpaid citizen.<>

Yes, through an Article V Convention of the States.

the problem with the folks on the right is too many still cannot or will not accept that there is no compromising with the leftists. they still don’t believe we are in an actual War with the left for control of America. “conservatives seek agreement while liberals demand compliance” L.Star

Nah, the communists took over both parties. The top of the GOP are actually RATs and it is because of what they haven’t done that eyes are opening, The GOPe only function is to make it look like people have a choice when they vote.

The conservatives in the GOP have been treated like red headed step children by the elites in the party. That was to keep them from ever gaining any real control. That is why the GOPe came after the Tea Party and smashed it. Trump is the RAT/GOPe nemisis now and they want to crush him. The GOPe really do hate us because they are actually democrats. They are RAT Stepford Wives.

Nikki Haley is the embodiment of GOPe/RAT Stepford Wife.

Joseph Sobran and others noted this a while back. It’s because the vast majority of Americans believe in the idea of progress. People who consider themselves conservative every bit as much as those who consider themselves liberal accept this premise, the idea that today is better than yesterday, and tomorrow will be better than today. Liberals want to force a hideous egalitarian outcome on everything while conservatives champion markets, but each path bulldozes the past. The idea that the old ways are better than the new ways has never been a successful sales pitch in America.
