Some segments of history are painful to read. This is one.

Mixed feelings about this we as British colonists came to America and actually were invaders to Indian property just like people are crossing our borders now and invaders

the difference being there was no official ownership of America when we came so we felt it was up for grabs.

but we did some atrocious things to the Indians and in turn they did atrocious things to us. I don’t know if we’ll ever know the full history of the wrongs that were on both sides but there definitely were wrongs

if reparations are due for anyone it’s for the Indians not the blacks or the Irish who were the first to be brought in as slaves

I don’t know about your ancestors, but when my ancestor came over from Essex, England in 1634, he was fleeing from the wrath of the King. He also paid $100 to those who claimed to own the land f up there in New England.
