That is one of the hardest things my son has to deal with as an officer is when he encounters situations like this.
A few months ago he got a call about two kids running through the streets screaming they are trying to kill us. Two girls eight and eleven had gone to visit their big sister and walked in and found an absolute sewer and were scared of the older sisters boyfriend. Their older sister, fourteen and her boyfriend twenty-one were allegedly trying to kill them and they ran out of the house. They went to the house and couldn’t find anyone home. So they took the two girls to a grandmothers house.

The next day my son and another officer went to the house and knocked on the door and the fourteen year old opened it and the house was filthy and they began questioning her and asked where her boyfriend was? In the bathroom she said and my son found him with an eighteen month old who was the boyfriends child from another relationship. My son could clearly tell the boy had been or was about to be abused again from the situation. It was all he could do not to beat this guys brains out. All the guy said was is this just a misdemeanor, will I be out quickly? My son said your going away on multiple felonies for a long time as he pushed the scum against the wall and cuffed him.

When they went to put him in the car and the fourteen year old went insane and started fighting them, they had to cuff her as well. They took the toddler to the hospital and he had been horrible sexually and physically abused. Very disturbing.
