The bar was not named after the song “Gimme Three Steps”. It was named after the bar mentioned in that song.
MSM is no longer able to report anything 100% accurately.
A simple plan that would have worked except that meddling customer.
“even after this close call, the iconic Lynyrd Skynyrd dive bar reopened soon after the incident”
A little gasoline on the floor ain’t gonna stop a good time in DUUUVVAAAAAAAAAAL!!!
I still marvel how he went from “Incense and Peppermints” to Southern Rock.
Apologies for not catching that
Although I’m partial to Molly Hatchet, myself.
Several members of the band used to live in my sister’s neighborhood in Orange Park. We used to pass by their house all the time.
I watched a documentary last week called “Hired Gun” 2016
A documentary film about session and touring musicians that are hired by well established and famous bands and artists.
I discovered the good ones are musical chameleons, talented enough to play with people like Pink and Michael Jackson and then jumping to acts like Alice Cooper or Metallica.
Ed King was more than likely one before the phrase hired gun was ever coined.

Steve Lukather is a perfect example. He’s played on a lot of records outside of Toto, for a wide range of performers, like Lionel Ritchie.
Gary Rossington, the last original member passed last year. He was my favorite....................
That documentary was really interesting. I highly recommend it.
I also discovered that Billy Joel is a world class jackass.
And that one of his original musicians he threw away like so much refuse committed suicide over it.
An unbelievably humble grave site.
A Simple Man............................
👍
This will always be my mental image of him......................
Just a regular Florida Man doing his thing
“Just a regular Florida Man doing his thing”
A potential new contestant AND event in next year’s Florida Man Games!

Took me a while to find your post that I read yesterday morning. Last night I asked hubby to put Molly Hatchet on our playlist. I hadn’t listened to them in years! And it was a surprise to my husband, because I hadn’t made that request in a long, long time. I felt like a kid again! (Ok, truth is, I do that a lot!)
Enjoyed “Flirtin’ With Disaster”, and especially “Gator Country” among others.
Thanks for the reminder to bring them back and put them on our playlist. ;)
