We see this almost everyday now in the news. An illegal alien is arrested in a sanctuary city for a violent crime, ICE issues a detainer request for the local jurisdiction in which the criminal is being held, that jurisdictions then ignores the ICE detainer and releases the criminal from custody. What is the solution to this? In my opinion jurisdictions should be held liable for the actions committed by illegal immigrants after they are released from custody. The victims and families should have the right to sue these jurisdictions.
The solution, according to the media, is to blame Trump and Christian Nationalists for bringing these many MANY recurring stories to our attention.
I think the fact that the MSM is actually ALLOWING the point that the perp IS an ILLEGAL is pretty much a watershed moment here. TBH.
As long as it is “illegal man from country X” and no longer generic “A Chigago Man”.

Supreme Court ruled a long time ago that the police are not required/obligated to protect anyone. That matter needs to be re-addressed given recent developments.

From “melting pot” to SEPTIC TANK TO THE WORLD. To all the far left turd rollers out there, I can’t exactly say that you’ve MADE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN BECAUSE THE SMELL ALONE IS MIGHTY BAD.
But only after first identifying the specific individual, by name, who ordered the release. this stuff won’t stop until the people behind it are named and punished.
ICE needs to stop issuing 'detainers' which are only a formal request and can be ignored. They need to start issuing federal arrest warrants which are not 'requests'. Failure to comply with a federal warrant is a crime.
The only difference between a detainer and a warrant is that a warrant is issued by a US Magistrate. They both require probable cause to be established before issuance.
We need to have several US Magistrates in every federal district on speed dial. It would take an ICE agent under 3 minutes to establish PC to a magistrate over the phone. They would probably have a bundle of them for every call. Once the warrants are issued the sanctuary has no choice but to comply or face significant consequences.
None of this is hard to fix.
