Still in the 2nd quarter of the game. Let us know when it is over who won.

Tie game at this point. Either Russia or Ukraine can win the war. But Russians are gaining momentum again.

The US lost over 2200 aircraft in Vietnam.

Jane Fonda took publicity photos with the Russian AA guns that were used to shoot down our pilots over Vietnam.

Don’t believe Russia has 2200 aircraft to even lose, but thanks for the Vietnam comparison, lol

Ukraine ping

Mariner: [The US lost over 2200 aircraft in Vietnam.]

Thanks to Russia supplying its latest fighter jets and SAM systems to North Vietnam. And direct Russian participation. It’s time for Biden to stop dragging this out and return the favor. An official Russian government website gloats:

https://www.rbth.com/history/332396-how-soviets-fought-against-americans
[Throughout the war, Moscow provided Hanoi with 95 S-75 air defense missile systems, over 500 airplanes, 120 helicopters, more than 5,000 anti-aircraft guns and 2,000 tanks. In addition, more than 10,000 Soviet military specialists were dispatched to Vietnam: from missile crews, pilots and signalmen to tank crews and doctors.]

Meanwhile, Biden has provided 2 Patriot systems, vs the 95 given to Hanoi, and 0 jet fighters vs the 500 Russia handed to North Vietnam. Meanwhile, there was zero real estate North Vietnam could hold in South Vietnam that the US wanted to take, despite North Vietnam’s massive Russian-supplied arsenal. Whereas Ukraine is preventing Russian advances despite Western aid packages that consist mainly of non-lethal assistance. The way the West is aiding Ukraine is reminiscent of the era before Russia invaded, just with bigger numbers.

If it is so good why are systems from s-400 on down be taken down at large numbers by a few western weapons, and good number of the weapons Russians Air Force is designed to take down are failing

Big plus though they are pretty good at taking down their own aircraft.
Pretty soon no awacs for Russia and the Sam units and Russia aircraft will be scurrying

IF the Ukes really are shooting down Russian Su-34’s, they’re using million-dollar per shot Patriot missiles to do it, and they’re going to run out of missiles before Russia runs out of jets.

Unless, of course, Johnson caves and gives the Dems their Ukraine funding.

Either way this proxy war is costing the US taxpayers a lot of dollars, all the while the Ukrainian population is being fed into a pointless meatgrinder.

Both sides have been conducting information warfare since the beginning of the war.

The primary purpose of the Russian effort seems to be to keep the Russian population supporting the war.

The primary purpose of the Ukrainian effort seems to be to keep Western aid flowing.

Both sides have had numerous failures. Their successes are not so obvious, by design.

CIA targeting bases delivering accurate hits.

It’s been a shadow war for a decade, as has been revealed.

>Russia or Ukraine can win the war.<

You’re out of your mind.

The UKES have won some impressive battles against the RUS Black Sea Fleet, but to regain Crimea they’d need to be able to launch a huge amphibious landing, an extremely difficult operation way beyond their capabilities in terms of men and ships.

And attacks on RUS infrastructure are pinpricks given RUS size and resources.

Thank you for your service. Good that you avoided the Hanoi Hilton, or worse. Were you part of Pocket Money, the operation over Haiphong?

You have Russia to thank for your close shave. It supplied its latest fighter jets and SAM systems to North Vietnam and crews to operate some of those systems. An official Russian government website gloats:

ON THE EFFECTIVE USE OF PROXY WARFARE - by Andrew Lewis Peek, May 2021, Dissertation for PhD

CHAPTER THREE: RUSSIA AND UKRAINE, 2013-2016 [pg 118 of 446 in the PDF file]

"This chapter will examine Russia’s use of proxy forces in Ukraine from the beginning of demonstrations in Kiev’s Maidan Square on November 21, 2013 to the dissipation of the conflict in 2016. Though it covers all the high-intensity periods of the war, this chapter is focused on the fighting in Donbas and not Russia’s takeover of Crimea."

There were about 11,846 U.S helicopters that served in the Vietnam War. The U.S records show 5,607 helicopter losses. In total, the United States military lost in Vietnam almost 10,000 aircraft, helicopters and UAVs (3,744 planes, 5,607 helicopters and 578 UAVs ).

The USAF lost about 2.200 aircraft.

Any air defence is vulnerable to attack. As soon as it is turned on, it signals its presence.

That is different from whether USA/NATo can establish air superiority. If they can’t, the West will certainly lose in an all out conventional war against Russia - as the Counter-Offensive showed.

A tie? Definitely not. As far as I know, Moscow is not frantically building fortifications like Kiev is doing right now. That should give you a hint of what is happening. Don't believe it? Just wait.
