“All the rest has nothing to do with the US Constitution and can well be called “fleecing” the American taxpayer.”

Like: paying pension for a foreign country, paying border security for a foreign country, doing constitutional mandated governmental action for a foreign country all while simultaneously ignoring those self same duties bere.

Anything which legitimately falls under the category of "national defense" is constitutional and lawful.

Our Democrat administration's refusal to enforce our own borders is at least impeachable, if not also criminal.
But I see no reason to punish Ukrainians just because our Democrats have refused to enforce our laws here at home.

You may realize that Republican House Speaker Johnson has tried for months now to negotiate a deal with Democrats which would give us more secure borders in exchange for aid to Ukraine, but it's not happening.

My understanding is that Democrats will always chose open borders over aid to Ukraine -- meaning, if they are forced to stop aid to Ukraine so they can keep our borders open, Democrats will do that, because it means then they can blame Republicans for any defeats in Ukraine, and that's what they want most.

Even more important, for our Democrats, open borders are existential -- those are not illegal aliens for Democrats, they are future Democrat voters and Democrats will not sacrifice their own voters just to save Ukrainians, sadly.

So, while Speaker Johnson has promised Ukrainians and others that we will provide the packages of aid requested, he is also standing firm that there must be a border deal.
The result is, nothing happens.

At least that's my limited understanding of where things stand right now.
