Is this the grimmest hotel in Las Vegas? Customer reviews say Circus Circus is the biggest sin in the city after experiencing the 'nightmare' establishment this year.
Guests claim their stays have been marred by dirty sheets, bedbug infestations, crumbling walls and crusty carpets at the 3,900-room Nevada hotel, which overlooks the Sphere.

We stayed there 23 years ago in one of the motel looking rooms. It was OK. When we ate inside the casino they tried to pad our bill with beers we never ordered. We caught that and they removed the beers from the tab. The steaks were ok but we have had better at a local Restaurant near where we live.
In 1985 I stayed in one of them. Dump. Very old. But it was just to sleep for a few hours and move on.
It’s probably that old Circus Circus building I stayed in. They clearly haven’t torn it down yet. There are nicer, newer sections.
It’s like Bourbon St. Amazing and fun at night. In the daytime it’s awful.
It takes a full day to walk the shops in Ceasars.
I stayed there last month, and luckily I didnt get a room. The place is pretty much as everyone described. I was there for CES, but used the Circus Circus RV park. When I pulled in, there was maybe 5 other RVs and the facilities were majorly run down. The only plus for the RV area was the one restroom/shower facility was usable without getting tetanus, and had good hot water.
They also have about the worst buffet on the strip. It made the buffet shown in Vegas Vacation movie look good. I could have clubbed someone over the head with a chicken strip, it was more weapon than food. The salad bar was virtually non existent. It was still cheaper than eating next door in the food area from Burger King which as around $17 per value meal.
We did win a bit of money in the casino though. To get to the RV park out back, you had to walk through the casino, hotel registration was in back, and when you saw the zoo there, its no wonder why there were bed bugs.
Frankly I’m surprised they haven’t demolished it yet and put up something else.
Looks good
Circus Circus is where Tony the Ant Spilotro got his toehold in Vegas in a gift shop next to Willie Cohen of the Gambinos.
I’ve never been to the CC in Ls Vegas but have been to the one in Reno. It is indeed a dump. Has been ever since I can remember.
SAMMY APPROVES!
You’re right. That place is insaaaaaaaane!
Love me some Vegas!
Yes, we walked the shops. Crossed the blvd to the Venetian and then came back.
We stayed at the Vadara. Behind the Cosmopolitan. Between the Bellagio and the Aria.
It was only about five months old when we stayed there.
The Vadara, The Aria and the Mandarin Oriental were all the newest hotels in town back then. They had just finished the City center. Which is why we chose that hotel.
The 30 story hotel on the corner across from the Harley Davidson bar(next to the Cosmo) was still there unfinished. That was the hotel that the MGM was suing the builder. The builder was suing the engineering firm. They were suing the architect. Eventually they tore it down. It was supposed to be 60 stories high. They got up to 30 floors and found out that is was not built to handle the other 30 stories. I suspect the only ones who made out were the lawyers.
We stayed at the Imperial Palace about 15 years ago. Woke up the next morning with a guy passed out in front of our door. Place was a dump. Wrote a letter after we got home and they sent a voucher for a free stay. Mailed it back and told them to keep it.
