Not to get too graphic but the thing that was growing maggots didn’t have to be dead-—so might not have smelled much. A wound in an animal might very well host maggots. I’ve seen veterinary guys use maggots to clean up wounds.

So I’m going with wounded raccoon holed up in the overhead? Was the plane a Boeing? Could be a dead safety inspector up thar?

We were at dinner with a dermatologist and he was telling us his worst stories. Note to self.. don’t go to dinner with derms. An elderly lady with maggots in her head was his worst.

I opened a pack of rice a roni once and it had maggots in it. I’ll never eat it again 😂.
