I have heard/been around two big explosions, the first was when I was 5ish...My father was in his last year of college and we had rented a small home in a small neighborhood.
BOOM! Someone had a pressure cooker that blew up and 1/2 of the home was gone - the people were in another room and were not hurt but I will never forget it.

I cook with an Instant Pot. Fortunately, it has a built-in safety feature that will not allow one to remove the lid until the pressure has been released.
