Yes odd but that the self-made paradigm they are stuck with. No one in today’s archaeology is allowed to have advanced further than hunter-gather at that time. They have the same problem with the far older structures at Gobekli-Tepi.

I don’t see any evidence of a wall here. That is a pile of irregularly shaped stones. Retreating glaciers drop stones in their path.
