So... what? You think the State Department lied about the dangers of being in Russia just because... what? They’re all in for Ukraine? Is that what you think?
Is it possible, in your tiny little world view, that the State Department could possibly be correct in that warning? Or are they just propagandizing against your beloved Russia.

As someone who has been to Moscow, albeit in 2011, for a week’s tourist visit, I can say that the touristy spots around the red square ARE cleaner than most American tourist spots.
however, “safety” - while you won’t get physical threats in those tourist spots, there were plenty of scam artists.
And, outside those tourist areas - as per Russian colleagues, they have grime and crime, just like US cities. Couple that with massive corruption at the police level (and no, those guys make American cops look like angels) and Moscow isn’t quite downtown Zurich (though Moscow’s center with the grand churches and the Red square is far more beautiful than boring Zurich imho)

American smaller cities and towns are as safe as European smaller cities and towns.
American cities - let's take New York versus London:
I couldn't find any newer reliable data, but it does look like NYC is getting safer and I wouldn't be surprised if it gets safer than London.
ALSO, if one dials back to the 1950s to 1960s, European cities were as dangerous/as safe as American.
What changed in the USA was clearly democrat welfare policies that brought a spiral downwards.

You noticed that, too, eh? It’s not only legal now, but FUNDED, for certain DOD personnel to propaganda post on sites. And, of course, State has done it forever. And the Ukraine Lobby is the biggest foreign lobby in the US.

We can’t point fingers and laugh at them anymore. I’ve been to East Cleveland recently. Look at it now. It’s worse than tent cities. I remember when it was decent middle-class community.
