I’ve seen youtube reviews by repair folks who recommend the speed queens highly-
LOL - I used to practically live on ladders (I was a house painter)- no more though!
We had one of those types- and i loved it as it cooked toast great- but it didn’t last- it was an emerald lagosi (or whatever his name is) roaster oven- it did last for quite awhile, but for the money- not long enough we felt
I have a 15 or so year old Kenmore / Whirlpool side-by-side. The original ice bucket assembly had a plastic impeller to push the cubes into the chute for crushing / dispensing. As the years went by those plastic blades slowly deteriorated and broke off, resulting in chunks of plastic in my ice water. No recall that I know of. Instead of calling a lawyer I just bought a replacement assembly which now has a steel impeller. Cost me $150. I’m a chump, I guess.
We had a frontload Samsung which I despised. Broke down majorly. Had a service call and the guy took all of 30 seconds to say junk it and get a new one. Didn’t want to charge me for call but I gave him $20. Anyhow, I asked what new toploads are any good. Without hesitation he said they are all garbage except SQ. So far we are extremely pleased. By the way, don’t let seemingly small capacity fool you...there is plenty of room and you can actually use it all which you can’t on the other brands with allegedly larger drums. My two cents.
.....
This one. Has lasted many years. I use it instead of my usual oven. It toasts etc.
Sorry for late reply‐ thanks, I will look into that as our lousy 2 slice toaster is showing signs of dying already after 1 1/2 year or so. I do miss the oven part of a toaster oven
Th3 reviewers stated that the turning mechanism in the speed queen is way more robust than many other brands. Our old washing machine is getting along in years now, and li0kely will have to be replaced- we definitely ately are gonna get speed queen. Oh and they stated that laundromats almost exclusively use speed queens for a reason- because they last.
Just gotta find a good dryer now- hate the new one we got a year ago. Made the mistake of buying from Aaron’s. We always seem to learn the hard way- but I am learning to listen to reviews now before going off and buying things.
I’ve heard plenty and the reviews when it came to,speed queen washers by professional repairmen you could tell was a no nonsense recounting of their experiences with repairing many makes and models. When our old one goes, speed queen is definately gonna be the make we turn to
This was the Emeril one we had, which was handed down to us almost brand new

It didn’t last very long- it was nice while it worked, a d we liked the air fryer in it- cooked chicken really nice too- but unfortunately didn’t last
👍
I think I have had this one for 8 or 10.
And same model or similar for just as long.
I have bought directly from the black and decker site. Much bigger selection of item
Thanks- I’ll check that out for sure. Sick of our 2 slice toaster which can’t even toast bagels well. (And it’s got wide area for toast too- still not wide enough for bagels, and the tops of the bagels don’t get toasted well)
