Wrestling veteran Vince Russo predicted that Triple H and other top WWE executives would depart the promotion within a year.
Vince McMahon initially retired in 2022. However, he returned to the Stamford-based company in January 2023 as Executive Chairman. The 78-year-old recently resigned from his position and left the promotion amid being sued for sex trafficking by a former employee. Meanwhile, McMahon's son-in-law, Triple H, remains the Chief Content Officer.
Speaking on The Brand podcast, Russo predicted that The Game and other former Vince McMahon associates would be let go from WWE within a year following the latter's departure:
"I'm gonna make a bold prediction right here. By the end of this year, bro, by the end of this year, anybody who was part of the Vince McMahon regime is going to be gone, bro. Gone. All the old horses. They are all going to be gone. I'm talking about all of them, bro," he said.

My guess is that it is headed for a fall back to its historical level of small time entertainment and 6AM tv viewing, as I remember it as a kid. No more stadiums or large arenas.
I think it will be fine. WWE was bought by Endeavor.
Did you read what McMahon did?
Vince Russo is a dummy. If he’s correct, it’s the “a broken clock is right twice a day” type correct.
I know what he did and it’s unfortunate that he’s tied everybody’s future to his crimes, not that many of them were much better. I’ve heard a lot of stories about the rapes that were done by wrestlers.
I just think McMahon had a good fortune to find wrestlers that had enlarged personalities and put on a really good show. IMO, I think that wrestling is going to fall closer to its historical levels of popularity, like it was in the 1940’s to 1970’s.
It’s a messed up business. Dudes are doing roids and coke all the time. Probably smoking weed and popping pills for pain from the events. Constantly on the road...
We’ll see what happens. I would be surprised if Endeavor made a poor decision in purchasing WWE.
He’s pretty old(for wrestling) and his wife is Stephanie.
I think he was doing creative content now.
They have around $250 million in the bank.
Some can’t walk away from the spotlight though.
That's understatement. McMahon raided the talent of other regional wrestling organizations back in the 1980s. Very few wrestlers that built his dynasty were developed by him, including Hulk Hogan, who was developed by Verne Gagne in the AWA.
Pro wrestling organizations had a pact until 1980 that their promoters wouldn't try to go national and raid other organizations of their talent. McMahon, ruthlessly, violated that agreement.
Triple H, for years, was creative force behind NXT, the WWE's development organization.
Gotcha.
I would disappear to a villa in the Swiss mountains for a year or two.
Why would anyone leave all that money on the table?
100 percent agree…still don’t get why jade cargill went to wwe she had a much better future in aew
Netflick, who just signed a long term tv deal, will be happy
