Taylor Swift sells off one of her $40m private jets
Daily Mail UK ^ | Feb 7, 2024

Posted on 02/07/2024 12:46:31 PM PST by CondoleezzaProtege

She previously sold a smaller Dassault Falcon 50 jet in 2020, after she purchased it in 2012 for $4million. Swift donated the proceeds to charity.

It is unclear if Swift is planning to upgrade her fleet just in time for the longest leg of her international tour starts – jetting to Australia to perform on February 16.

This comes as it was revealed Swift's lawyers sent a letter to Jack Sweeney, 21, demanding that he stop logging her flights and locations.

Sweeney, a junior at the University of Central Florida, has run several accounts that track the flight paths of planes and helicopters owned by celebrities, billionaires, politicians and other public figures.

His accounts use publicly available data, and also share the estimates of their planet warning emissions – with the college student first going head to head with Elon Musk in 2022 for sharing his jet's details.

The latest Gulfstream G700 has a range of 7750 miles according to Gulfstream at a speed of up to Mach .9, they’ve also announced a G800 with a slightly longer range of nearly 8000 miles, they will set you back 75 million before customization.

If I had an insane amount of money like her, the one major luxury I would have is a private jet to go anywhere at anytime and avoid all the hassles of commercial flights.

Rush Limbaugh had a G550 which set him back around 55-60 million, I remember him talking about flying nonstop from his home Palm Beach to Hawaii when he used to vacation there.

Yes, thank you...

I used to be on the board of a very small company (1 person) that had a King Air...I just could not remember the altitude.

No, I will not disclose the tail number.

Lawfare should be illegal.

Sweeney might have the law on his side, but he hasn't the money to defend against Swift. Her lawsuit would drive him into bankruptcy long before the case was resolved after all the discovery and appeals.

Exactly, plus planes put out a radio beacon called ADS-B which anyone including myself can pick up and track, if you go to flightaware or flightradar24, both use ADS-B you can track planes just about anywhere in the world.

Beechcraft made some fine aircraft. What series model was your company’s?

BTW: I flew on a Twin Beech back in the 1960s as a passenger; great airplane!

Before I read that, I really didn’t have any issues with Taylor personally, more with her fans and the folks who are hyping her.

Now she could die in a fire and I wouldn’t care.

A friend, who taught a contract law course at UCF told me that many of his students could not put their thoughts on paper. “For that reason, I would recommend that one should not take a degree from UCF at face value.”

The school has bright graduates but it is also known as a “diploma mill.”

“The latest Gulfstream G700 has a range...”

“Rush Limbaugh had a G550 ...”

The larger aircraft can have flight parameters that are quite different — I recall Rush talking about the G650 — it came with 12 iPads or so but it could land at shorter airports than the G550 and save him 1/2 hour each way in travel time.

My local airport - BZN - is extremely busy year-round with GA aircraft.

We even get a fair amount of BBJ’s and the like. The closer the tail number color is to the underlying color (meaning very hard to see) ofttimes means a world leader is visiting...

but wouldn’t it be wiser to lease or charter?

When one has reached her level of stardom, it's all about optics. It's more impressive to own them than to stoop so low as to have to rent them.

She doesn't have to make arrangements to charter a jet, all she has to do is hop on her own with her new boy toy and fly off to wherever and whenever she wants.....

The FACT that a lawyer is threatening someone for disseminating PUBLIC INFORMATION should have him DISBARRED TOMORROW and subject to Civil Liability for the Terrorist Threat he made, Lawfare is Terrorism.

BTW it was not my plane or company - I was the board member.

This is Montana and significant tax savings were involved: ;-)

I googled it but you could be right I know he had a top-of-the-line private jet at the time, luxury that I would have if I had that kind of money, the freedom and ease of travel would make it all worth it.

I believe part of the reason for reshuffling her Private fleet is her boyfriend Kelce (for now) is 6’5” and bangs his head on the Plane she is selling along with it being a limited range.
