An escaped 17-year-old Louisiana inmate charged with attempted murder was turned in to the authorities by his own parents after three days on the run.
Kimmy Dauntain Jr. slipped out of the hands of Juvenile Justice officers while on an escorted trip to a relative’s funeral in Franklin Friday afternoon, the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office said.
The fugitive’s parents gave him up to Louisiana State Police Sunday morning, according to a press release from the Office of Juvenile Justice.

There’s that “teen” BS again
He will serve five years for his escape.
If I was named Kimmy by my parents, there might be times I’d feel like murdering somebody too. Just ask Johnny cash about the “boy named Sue’!
He’s got “street cred” now
He tried to lam
But they cheesed him
Oh, NOW I understand
Attention inmates: There will be NO MORE leaves for family emergencies or funerals.
You can thank Jimmy Dauntaine, Jr. for that.

Pray for these parents.
“Credit to his parents for turning him in.”
That may not be as it seems. Having a police car parked outside your house all them time, and having the police knocking on your door (and your relatives doors) several times a day asking if you’ve heard from little Kimmy, may provide a some incentive.
