Range Rover are very theft prone. I can see these Albanian (as in Taken) criminals stealing them. Then shipping them in a container to Albania or elsewhere in the Balkans.

Range Rover now owned by an Indian car maker

Her government could do what the president Bukele of El Salvador did - lock criminals in a huge zoo of a prison and crime declined 91 percent. That’s what we need to do here.

I’m looking into a used jeep and the dealership is 20 miles from Atlanta, which I hate going anywhere near. I looked at the total sheet and he had $1495 LoJack I said what’s this for? He said well install it so you can track when it’s stolen. I said don’t live near Atlanta, I live in the mountains and anyone near my house I’ll shoot if the neighbor doesn’t get them on the way up. 🤣🤣🤣

The article is about conditions in Britain. Notably, the article did not recommend getting armed and learning to shoot as an anti-theft strategy.

FWIW 890 British pounds is $1,124 US dollars.

One of the many costs of a disarmed population.

Unless the elsalvadoran government eradicate those they have either a dangerous shock troop or an Instant death for their country. They are fools if they are kept alive.

The elite will force us into the lifestyle they want for us, but not them, but any means they can find, that is grass thatched huts, eating bugs and fake meat, and walking everywhere..

Since they can’t just outright outlaw or ban stuff, they’ll make it as dangerous (flying) or cost prohibitive as possible so people.... ahem.... “voluntarily” give it up.

Range Rover was Queen Elizabeth's car of choice. That's probably why it was a status symbol of success in England.

lock criminals in a huge zoo of a prison

The only problem with that is when the democrats declare us criminals for not supporting them.

Imagine the insurance rates in the cities in the US if rural areas didn’t subsidize them.

True for health care malpractice premiums too.

A friend’s husband bought a brand new Mercedes - this has been a while, maybe 15 yrs ago. He usually parked it in the garage but his MIL had stopped by so he parked in the street in front of his house and was going to move it when she left shortly. Mind you, they live in one of the most expensive neighborhoods in Charlotte and had never had any issue. MIL left about 10 min later and he went behind her to move his car and it was gone. Police said it was probably in a shipping container already. He just got the insurance and bought something more ‘practical’, as in ‘not as attractive to thieves’.

That's probably why it was a status symbol of success in England.

Have you ever driven a Range Rover, not only on road, but especially off road?

While it is a status symbol, it's comfort, luxury and capabilities make it much desired too.

I've had an older one and have driven more modern ones.

Now I have Unimogs and a Jeep.

Next though, a Grenadier.

Search for it and you'll see why.

Not for a status symbol, but because the thing should LAST 10 years or more unlike 3 Fords I have had that all died from coolant intrusion with few miles on them.

Makes more sense for Elsalvador to send them to the US. Avoids the bad PR and they don’t have to bother with a trial.

I had a brand new Range Rover that had an “idiot light” that would not stop lighting up. Kept taking it to the dealer to fix it. After 5 or 6 very inconvenient trips, the mechanic told me “it’s no big deal, all new cars engine lights come on for no reason”. ??? I got rid of it.
