Perp killed another driver in a carjack the same day. Two families destroyed by a criminal who likely already had a violent offender history, and probably shouldn't have been walking the streets.

Then about 2.30am he shot the windscreen of a Maryland State Police trooper’s car, and about 3am sprayed the door of a DC Police officer’s car bullets as he drove past.””

Maryland Office of the Attorney General released the names of the officers involved in fatally shooting Cunningham: New Carrollton Police Sergeant Byron Purnell, a six-year veteran of the department, and Corporal Carlos Batenga, who has five years of law enforcement experience.

D.C. Attorney General Brian Schwalb told Maryland residents who were demanding accountability for the rising juvenile crime rates that the district cannot “prosecute or arrest our way” out of the crime epidemic.

The HELL we can't. What a freaking idiot. Lock criminals up with long sentences and no parole. Build prisons. Prosecute even the smallest crimes and slap them with stiff sentences. Execute the ones committing capital offenses or selling drugs. Easy peasy. This is not rocket science. It's worked in our past.

We just need to get rid of the Schwalbs of the world and get some Judge Roy Bean types running the courts.
