I was first (or second) on the scene of a Bonanza crash just north of Orange County(went into a dumpster just behind an industrial building). I worked just down the road from there and was listening on my scanner before I left for work...as he was attempting to do an instrument approach, he did at least 1 missed approach, maybe more..before ATC lost contact.

SoCal coastal wx can change fast...inversion layers, coastal fog, smog...ugh.

Believe a V-tail crashed into a mobile home park the other day in Florida.

Judging by pic the plane was really moving when it impacted the ground.

Must have been a Boeing.

It was a Beechcraft Bonanza AKA "The Doctor Killer".

It has a bad safety record compared to anything Boeing puts in the air.

Pilot error in judgement. IMC in an aircraft with a system he was not familiar with.

You are right. The Beechcraft line of private airplanes have been death traps. Unrecoverable spins and too hot for many private pilots.
