Loading up a med plane that is already equipped to juice Joe would be easier for the people who plan these trips. They’re not spending their own money so an extra plane or two wouldn’t be a problem. Charge it up to training. Running a training exercise is more like a license to steal. The boss-guys don’t want to deal with training so they shrug and sign.
Been there and done that. The next two layers of bosses were so happy I could handle technical training they left me alone——forever.
